of hands on work that helped me understanding how to correctly apply them in practical situations.I first came across SolidWORKS software back in my first year of my degree, and ever since I’ve spent a lot of time self teaching and exploring this software and how it can be efficiently applied to aid and improve any type of engineering design process.
With some previous study in computer programming I have been able to utilize the API functionality within SolidWORKS. (2 years towards a Degree in Computer Programming).
Having been able apply these skills within SolidWORKS, I have been able to further push the abilities of the software and maximize its performance for our clients.
For example, writing small macro programs to complete various tasks has been very rewarding. This has had the effect of saving our clients money and making some areas of the design process much more enjoyable and efficient.
Working over the last year working with Nick and Eddie within Nova Mechanical Design I have been able to further my knowledge in engineering practices and design procedures.
During 2008, I completed my Degree in Mechanical Engineering (AUT) and was also able to pass my CSWP qualification.
Working with top of the range equipment, up to date software and constant training we are able to provide flexible, simple and efficient solutions to a number of complex problems in time periods that otherwise would not be possible.
