QUARRY - VOLUMETRIC SCANNING
Scanning of Quarry Stock Piles to assertain the Total volume.
The process is as follows:
Firstly - We determine the best scanning locations to have line of sight of the total stock pile volume. If more than one pile is to be measured we can utilize the best scan positions so as to cover multiple piles with one scanner set up. A normal scan will require 3 set up positions.
Secondly – Scanner Targets are placed on and about the stock pile.
Thirdly – We scan the stock pile form the pre determined positions. NOVAMECH then registers the multiple scans in to one scan world. The total volume is then easily calculated using our Speculated Terrestrial Software.
This process can take between 3 hours and a full day – dependent of the scale of the job.
